Following is information on the Hawk/Haak family of what is now Monroe County, Pa.  During the late 1700s and early 1800s, the area was part of Northampton County, Pa.

Will of Conrad Hawk of Polk Township, Monroe County, Pa., written Jan. 26, 1848. Proved Nov. 7, 1855. Heirs: son Peter, received two tracts of land in Polk Township; wife Margaret, a stove with pipe and weaving loom, a cow and a bed with bedding and use of the house; son George; son John; son Michael; son Joseph. Executor: friend Dewalt Fisher. Witnessed by John S. and Mary Fisher. Conrad left his mark, not a signature.
